TSC Women’s Soccer Prepares for Road Test at LSU-Eunice

TSC v. LSU-Eunice

The Texas Southmost College women's soccer team is back in action Tuesday, September 16, as the Scorpions travel to face LSU-Eunice in a 3:30 p.m. South Conference matchup.

The Scorpions enter the contest battle-tested after a challenging week against nationally ranked opponents. TSC earned a 2-2 draw against then-No. 8 Trinity Valley on Sept. 10 before falling to No. 5 Navarro College in a hard-fought game on Sept. 14. The results highlighted both the progress and potential of the young Scorpions squad.

Head Coach Jesus Villareal said his team is ready for another competitive match and expects his experienced players to take control on the field.

"They have a good offense, but it's nothing we can't manage," Villareal said. "I expect our experienced players to step up, manage the game, and set the tone."

Villareal also emphasized the opportunity for his team to grow with each outing against tough opponents.

"I'm sure it'll be a heck of a game," he added. "These matchups give us the chance to keep improving and prepare for the challenges ahead."

Both TSC and LSU-Eunice will be hungry for points in the South Conference standings, making tomorrow's matchup a pivotal early-season test. With confidence gained from competing against ranked opponents, the Scorpions are aiming to bring home an important road result.
