BROWNSVILLE, Texas (Aug. 30, 2025) — Texas Southmost College's men's soccer team showed determination on the pitch Saturday evening, going toe-to-toe with a nationally respected program in front of the home crowd at Scorpion Field.
Tyler Junior College secured a 2–0 victory over the Scorpions in nonconference play. The Apaches capitalized on two key scoring opportunities, one in each half, while maintaining steady defensive pressure throughout the match.
The Scorpions continued to push until the final whistle, creating several chances but unable to find the back of the net. For TSC, competing in NJCAA Region 5, the contest served as an early-season test against a program with a long tradition of national success.
While the final score favored Tyler, TSC officials said the game highlighted the team's effort and growing chemistry.
