Texas South Most College Men's Soccer added two La Joya High Coyotes last week.
The Scorpions signed Sebastian Quintana and Jose Borrego on Friday, April 11, 2025 at La Joya High School. The pair played a key role in helping the Coyotes make the playoffs in 2025.
"We saw Sebastian and Jose play against a very tough team in mid-February and they caught our attention," TSC Men's and Women's head soccer coach Mario Zamora said. "I think they are going to be a great addition for our Men's soccer program in 2025."
Zamora added the both players are physically capable of playing at the next level. Borrego will play in forward positions while Quintana is a versatile athlete that can be deployed throughout the pitch.
Quintana scored four District 31-6A goals for the Coyotes in 2025.
Borrego's and Quintana's physical attributes as well as their technical skills were key factors in them being offered a chance to play college soccer for the Scorpions.
While at TSC, Quintana is looking to major in industrial technology and Borrego is set to pursue a degree in business administration.
