TSC Soccer Looks to Earn Positive Results Against Ranked Blinn College Teams
The Texas Southmost College men's and women's soccer teams are back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 7, as they travel to Brenham, Texas, for an important Region 14 doubleheader against Blinn College. The Scorpions will open the day with the men's match at 10 a.m., followed by the women's game at 12:30 p.m.
Both teams face tough competition, but the Scorpions are optimistic and focused on building momentum as the regular season heats up.
The Blinn men's program enters the match ranked No. 14 in the nation with an 8-2-1 overall record and 6-2 in conference play, while the Lady Buccaneers hold a 5-3-2 overall record and a 3-3-2 mark in Region 14.
Despite the challenge, the Scorpions believe their preparation and determination will help them rise to the occasion.
"We've had a great week of training, and the energy is right where it needs to be," said Men's Head Coach Mario Zamora. "Blinn is a quality opponent, but we're focused on playing our game and coming home with a positive result."
The TSC men's team has shown steady improvement throughout the season, displaying resilience and growth in every match. Zamora said the team's mindset has been key in their development.
"This group continues to push each other and believe in the process," Zamora added. "We're ready to compete and show that we can play with anyone."
On the women's side, Head Coach Jesús Villarreal expressed confidence in his team's progress and leadership as they prepare for another high-level test.
"We've learned from every match this season," Villarreal said. "Our players are gaining experience and confidence, and I believe we can go to Blinn and get a good result."
Both Scorpion squads will look to capitalize on their preparation and teamwork as they continue their Region 14 campaigns.
